Dr. Margaret DeLillo-Storey Trauma Expert

Dr. Margaret DeLillo-Storey is a Licensed Clinical Counselor/Supervisor currently working in the Perry Local School System in Stark County, Ohio. She is contributing faculty in the School of Counseling at Walden University, teaching and supervising School Counseling and Clinical Mental Health Counseling students. A trainer contracted with the Stark County Educational Service Center, Margaret works in Trauma, Resiliency, and Education Collaboration along with a co-trainer.

Margaret was trained directly by Dr. Brené Brown in the inaugural class of Certified Dare to Lead™ Facilitators in 2019. She is proud to be part of the worldwide Certified Dare to Lead™ Facilitator community helping others realize that courage is a collection of four skill sets that are teachable, measurable, and observable, and the teaching curriculum based on Dr. Brown's in-depth research and bestselling book, Dare to Lead.

Margaret is a retired United States Army Officer and Combat War Veteran, having served in Operation Desert Shield and Operation Desert Storm. During her 22 years with the Army, she held leadership positions in Plans, Operations and Communications, Security, Ethics and Morality, Morale Welfare and Support Officer, Education, and Training Administration, and is retired. She has won numerous awards and commendations for her work in both the military and civilian sectors.

When she was inducted into the Ohio Veterans Hall of Fame, Margaret was the first woman from Stark County, as well as the youngest inductee.

​

She has presented over a hundred times, and each talk is infused with plenty of laughter, leadership ideas, lots of Brené Brown references, and colorful bits of life in general.

 

Margaret resides in Stark County, Ohio with her husband, Duane. They have two grown children, Nick and Courtney, and a host of extended family, both biological and those acquired as friends and counted as family.
